California gas prices show what is in store for the rest of the country when Obama wins his second term. These gas prices are absolutely necessary for alternative energy efforts to be successful and to end the practice of people moving to the suburbs.
These prices are the direct result of progressive policies that make it impossible to expand refining capacity, require complicated gasoline formulas and stop the development of new energy sources.
Now a power outage at one refinery causes a gasoline price spike. Wait until California fully implements its carbon tax scheme. Eight dollar a gallon gas is not far off and the dream of every progressive, European level gasoline prices will be realized at the expense of the poor and middle class.
Talk about a tax increase.
The Obama administration plans to bring the California programs to the rest of the nation and progressives who have ruined California are leaving in droves because they do not like to live under the regulations they support. Now, they move to other states to bring their failed policies to those states.
